Just wanted to get that spammer off the top

-- Go piss up a rope partner!

Still rockin DP 4. Can't get enough of the Dark Star. At 18:20 heaven begins to dance upon us stoned. Is it safe to call this the "Feeling Groovy Jam?" Does anyone else have a name for it? Feel like I have been sleeping under two rocks. Where the hell did this come from?

I LOVE the Grateful Dead -- and it's getting better all the time. Two years on here. Thanks to all of you for sharing and spreading the light. Let it shine...

Hey Jeremy. Nice post (well, apart from the piss up a rope bit). Not sure whether your questions are rhetorical but yes its safe. Its so called because it has a similar chord structure to the Simon & Garfunkel tune.
Let it shine, indeed, keep the mother rolling.

p.s. here's a Hunter lyric for your edification :¬)

Well, most of the time I watch and wonder
Is anything worth what it takes to earn?
Well most of the time it all depends
On lessons I don't seem to ever learn

Lovin' another's never easy, let alone
Treating thy neighbor as thy own self in
A high stakes poker game

But I'll bet you a hundred dollars to a dime
The wall that I climb is the wall from which I fall
But I'll climb again when you say "when"

You wear the moon and the stars around your finger
They rise and they shine when you tell them to
They fall back down to land when you wave your hand
How it is that happens I don't know

One and all fall, then they rise back once again
Over yonder garden wall when you say
"When," when you say "when"

You may tell me it's time to take what's mine
Or let it all go - win, lose or show, you know
It all depends when you say "when"

Got a card in the mail, here's what it read
Keep your Dead ass out of jail and keep the baby fed

Well I been sweating in the cold wet wind and rain
Well I been tryin' to tune the whistle on
A hellbound diesel train

Well I been tryin' with all my homesick soul
To see you again, me and all of my friends
Know it all depends, it all depends
Depends on when, when you say "when"

cheers,
alan

Hi Alan, thanks for the note. Yes, this is indeed Ween. The song is from their country album from 97, I highly recommend it. 12 Country Golden Greats. ONly 10 songs, the other two are floating around and around.

Peace

I liked the piss up a rope comment. Stilldead and myself are fellow Ween fans. Also known as " Weeners" and PROUD of it!

Forgive my ignorance...I'm british...my comment was prompted by the slightly unsavoury image of the poor spam woman attempting to urinate up said thread...I didn't know Ween or the song so I checked out the lyric...very fuggish... :¬)
I googled 'weener' and it just said George W. Bush.
